In a world of changing and challenging business environments, predictable strategy and creative, and lagging performance, every enterprise needs to continually reevaluate, evolve, find focus and generate the energy to make things happen. This is how Shape Strategies approaches every client opportunity; building client success, profit and growth by exploring and connecting each area so to uncover and activate revelatory ideas and improved results.
It’s always the starting point. It provides direction and focus for all ideas, materials and programs to come. Our proven, proprietary strategic processes bring a renewed emphasis on truly inventive and breakthrough strategies.
We’ve found it’s easier for companies to say they have it than it is to actually have the people and processes in place to make it happen. The future of every enterprise, from start-ups to mature companies need to understand how innovation successfully occurs in their organization, how to connect innovation to customer needs, and most importantly how to activate it and bring new ideas to life.
Shape Strategies is both a business, marketing and digital strategy company, and a creative development firm. We’ve found that when you connect great strategy with great creative ideas, your whole marketing universe can come alive with engaging messaging and persuasive programs, content, digital activation, surprising results and much more.
Every organization, at every level, size and age needs to find their entrepreneurial mojo and build their organization around keeping that spirit and energy flowing. It’s why Shape Strategies spends time and focus on the driving aspects of a company’s culture, people and organization. It’s easy to lose entrepreneurial energy over time, but today’s market demands the structure, culture and will to bring an enterprise together and find that energy that will make you a winner in a competitive marketplace.

He earned his master's degree in marketing from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, where he has been a frequent lecturer on branding, innovation, and marketing. He continues as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago for the Graduate Program in Global Communications and serves as a frequent mentor at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, coaching graduate students on entrepreneurism, innovation, capitalization, and launching new ventures.
I had the pleasure of working with Bill on three different strategy/marketing projects in the past two years. His work is superb. I saw his skills in collaboration, strategy, project leadership, goal setting, marketing, and most of all execution, including a highly innovative and creative marketing plan.
Bill is one of the most strategic, creative marketers I have had the pleasure to work with. Not only does he look at every business challenge from both sides, he uses his extensive communications background to provide deep context for clients so they can easily visualize his strategies and see how they come to life in the marketplace.
Bill is a rare individual who merges business expertise with extreme creativity. Great to work with. Highly recommended.
Bill is the kind of creative leader, mentor, and thinker who inspires you to adjust your approach in wonderfully unexpected and smart ways.
Bill is simply the brightest marketing mind I have worked with in my career. There is no one from whom I have learned more about strategic marketing than him. He has the unique ability to pull key insights from unorganized and unimagined resources, always leading to groundbreaking concepts and ideas.
